CPE Device

CPE Device (Customer premises equipment) is a device installed on the customer side of the network usually, and in this instance, used to recieve the signal for the WiFi connection. It can also be any other service provider equipment installed at the clients premises in order to provide a particular service to the client such as:

• Telephone/s
• Routers
• Network Switches
• Residential Gateways
• TV set-top boxes
• Digital Subscriber Line routers
• Wireless Network devices

A CPE can either be an active equipment such as the above or inactive such as a DSL splitter or analogue-telephone-adaptors (ATA).
